Leafy Bev isn't your average e-commerce store. It's a wholesale-first, Miami-made hemp beverage operation with six brands, a licensed cGMP and FDA-registered facility, and a product line that spans THC drinks, chews, and infused add-ons. When co-founders Ezra and Mark Hubbard came to each.life, they needed a Shopify presence that matched where the brand already was — bold, credible, and built for serious buyers.
They didn't need a template adjusted. They needed a full custom theme built from the ground up.
The brief
Leafy Bev operates as a wholesale platform. Retailers, distributors, and on-premise accounts browse, apply, and order — so the site needed to work as both a brand statement and a functional buying tool. Six distinct brands under one roof. Age verification. Tiered wholesale pricing. COA documentation. POS support materials. The site had to carry all of it without feeling cluttered.
The visual direction was clear from the start: dark, immersive, Miami-energy. Think deep navy, vibrant gradients, and the kind of type weight that reads well on a shelf tag and a phone screen equally.
What we built
A fully custom Shopify theme — no pre-built foundation, no Debut, no Dawn. Every section designed and developed specifically for Leafy Bev's catalog structure and wholesale workflow.
The homepage anchors around the hero — "Premium Hemp Beverages, Refined by Nature." — with trust signals (Licensed Facility, Third-Party Tested, cGMP Certified, FDA Registered) running immediately below the fold. From there, a brand-first navigation routes buyers into the six sub-collections: Botanical Refreshers, Sunset Enhanced, Get Crispy, RATIOS Functional, 50|50 Tea & Lemonade, and Melt Infused Ice Cubes.
The wholesale section is built to convert. Tiered pricing, low case minimums, batch-level COA access, and co-marketing support — all laid out for buyers who know what they're looking for and need to move fast. An approval flow routes wholesale inquiries without friction.
Product pages carry the brand weight of each sub-line — consistent with the parent brand but with enough visual distinction to let each product stand on its own.
The result
A site that looks like it belongs in the same conversation as the best beverage brands in the country — not a Shopify store that happens to sell hemp drinks. Clean, fast, compliant, and built to scale as the catalog grows.
